Plainfield Optimist Baseball League

The Plainfield Optimist Baseball League is divided into two divisions:   Minor League (ages 8, 9, 10) and Major League (ages 10, 11, 12).

To be eligible to participate in the Plainfield Optimist Little League Baseball, youth must reside in (or attend school in) the Plainfield city limits or Guilford Township.

Registration begins in late January and runs through early March; teams are formed and practices begin in March; league play begins in April and concludes with league tournaments by mid June.

"Sunday Showcase" travel teams also play on Sundays throughout the Regular season.

Club sponsored traveling all-star teams play through July.

The Plainfield Optimist Little League hosted the 2014 Indiana Little League State Finals in July 2014.

The Baseball program is governed by a Baseball Board and all aspects of each season’s program are approved by the Optimist Club’s Board of Directors.

Plainfield Optimist Baseball is for youth ages nine through twelve as of April 30 of the current year.

*NOTE:  For the 2017 season:  If your child turns 9 in 2017, AND their birthday is after April 30, 2017, your child may either sign up for their first year of the LL Minor Division - OR - an additional (and final) year with Pee Wee.

If signed up for Minors, the child will be considered as a 9 year old and referenced as such.

All other players ages 10-12 will abide by LL's current age cutoff date of April 30 to determine the youth's Playing Age Group.
